Hua Hin Beaches Guide
Hua Hin Beach, Cha-Am Beach and Pranburi Beach
|
If your idea of the perfect beach is a long, sandy stretch that's never too crowded and with lots of peaceful areas where you can soak up the sun, the beaches of Hua Hin, Cha-Am and Pranburi will be little slices of paradise... While Hua Hin beach is a little busier especially over weekends - and with many kinds of beach activities and water sports available - Cha-Am and Pranburi are almost always tranquil and peaceful. At all three these beaches you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas, and thanks to beach vendors refreshments are always in good supply.

The beach at Hua Hin stretches from the middle of town to the rocky promontory at Khao Takiap. Although there are large rock formations in the water, particularly near the Hilton, the sea bed is sandy rather than rocky. The strip of sand at Hua Hin is fairly narrow, but there always seems to be space on the sand to spread a towel. Beach umbrellas and deckchairs slung with canvas are available for rent and there are numerous opportunities for activities like jet-sking, para-sailing, horseback riding and riding a banana boat.(Read more...)

In addition, it is closer to Bangkok, making it popular with Thais who motor in from the Big Mango for a day at the beach or a couple of days in the condo they have purchased in one of high-rises fronting the beach. Throw in a beautiful setting against the backdrop of verdant forests, a national park with mountains and an estuary, and you start getting the picture. On route to Pranburi from Hua Hin - about a 30-km drive - you will pass several quiet bays which are good for swimming. (Read more...)
