Hua Hin’s seaside location means you can really have it all: A bustling little town with a plethora of restaurants, shops, interesting attractions, authentic local experiences and some night-time pursuits, flanked by a long, sandy beach and azure ocean. That’s why you will find the highest concentration of hotels in and directly around Hua Hin itself. It’s easy to get around, either on foot or by hop-on taxi (‘songthaew’). Cha-Am, just before you reach Hua Hin from Bangkok, remains a living image of what Hua Hin used to be: a quiet and charming seaside location that caters to locals. For many, Pranburi is just what the doctor ordered: an out-of-the-way spot with a focus on relaxation. Stay in this area and expect sea views (though not necessarily from your room), natural green surroundings, together with well-deserved peace and quiet. Most resorts have a shuttle service to transport guests to Hua Hin, but Pranburi is best suited to those whose ideal holiday involves basking in the wonderful nothingness of lounging poolside.
