Activities at Hua Hin Hills Vineyard

The main attraction at Hua Hin Hills is of course the vineyard itself, but the exciting part is you can try touring the vineyard on elephant back or bicycle. The paved bicycle trail runs for 3km and caters to leisure cyclists, while the red-marked trail (1km) goes through rougher, steeper terrains and is designed for more seasoned riders.

For more creative minds, the paint your own wine label activity gives you a rare opportunity to create a personalised bottle. If you come in a group, a game of petanque, while sipping wine, might be a good idea.

During the harvest season (mid-Feb to March), Hua Hin Hills rolls out package harvest activities. Live jazz, field harvests and grape crushing are all part of the experience, as well as the harvest themed dinner, a three-course meal paired with various Monsoon Valley wines. The package includes roundtrip transfers from Hua Hin Hills Wine Cellar at Market Village.

The Sala and Hua Hin Hills Wine Cellar

Overlooking sweeping views of the entire vineyard and surrounding valleys, The Sala is a Thai-inspired open-air pavilion housing an exhibit on viticulture and oenology. The display offers plenty of information on ‘new latitude wines’, or wines produced from grapes grown outside the traditional wine growing belt, or between the 30th and the 50th latitude. It is interesting to read about all the challenges and successes faced by the wine producers – you will appreciate the bottle more, having been aware of its little history.

Also housed inside the pavilion are Hua Hin Hills’ wine bar, bistro, retail shop and wine cellar. The menu highlights both Western and Thai cuisine, plus special items inspired by the vineyard. And what better way to enjoy a meal here than to pair it with a bottle from the cellar? An expert will be on hand to give recommendations. If you’d rather just sip the wine, then swing by the wine bar for a wine tasting experience.
